Very rare. The Incarnation of the Word and the Theosis of Man According to the Teaching of Gregory of Nyssa. Originally published in Greek in 1965.
"In our present study we research the relations between Christology and Anthropology according to Gregory of Nyssa. The close connection between these two is obvious. By giving our study the title The Incarnation of the Word (of God), and the Theosis (Deification) of Man according to the Teaching of Gregory of Nyssa, we have considered the exaltation of the incarnation as the 'sine qua non', the indispensable condition of the presupposition of the theosis of man. Indeed, the Incarnation of the Word constitutes a manifestation of divine love for man, which comes to create the conditions under which man may be able once again to answer freely to the offer of divine love.
"Although we are sure that with the present study this very important topic will not be fully exhausted, still we think that we are offering it as a contribution to the contemporary attempt to comprehend man in the light of the teaching of this holy Father of the Church."
